Lewistown 

Located in the geographic center of the state, Lewistown is a regional hub of 6,000 residents and is surrounded by mountains and plains. In addition to a traditional western feel, you will find a vibrant town with grocery stores, gas, restaurants, lodging, campgrounds and a variety of retailers and outfitters. Malta

North of American Prairie and along the Milk River, Malta is home to attractions like the Great Plains Dinosaur and Phillips Country Museums and nearby Bowdoin National Wildlife Refuge. With lodging, restaurants, shops, groceries and gas, Malta offers visitors a chance to stock up on supplies and enjoy small town Montana hospitality. Zortman

With a population of less than 100, enjoy this quiet, shaded retreat at the base of the Little Rockies. A variety of outdoor pursuits await you, from fishing and hiking to panning for gold! Glasgow

On the east side of the American Prairie region and with easy access to the Timber Creek unit, Glasgow is a town of 3,300 and the seat of Valley County. It’s the perfect starting point to explore Fort Peck Dam and Lake whether you’re looking to learn about its history or catch some walleye. Fort Belknap Agency / Harlem

As the capital of the Fort Belknap Indian Reservation, Fort Belknap Agency is home to tribal facilities, the Aaniiih Nakoda College, and a highway rest area with RV parking and picnic tables.
