Wes Matelich*, Chair

Wes Matelich is the Chief Operating Officer of Rx Green Solutions, a developer of cannabis fertilizer technologies. Previously, Mr. Matelich was an Associate at Tinicum Incorporated, a private investment firm in New York City, and an Investment Banker at J.P. Morgan. Mr. Matelich holds a BA in Philosophy with Highest Honors from Vanderbilt University and an MS in Accountancy with Distinction from Wake Forest University. His interest in conservation began with a love for the outdoors that started in his youth. Mr. Matelich, a lifelong Montana “semi-resident,” is an avid hunter and fisherman. He has always felt strongly about the preservation of America's most valuable resource: its great outdoors.  

Aaron Taryle*, Vice Chair
New York, NY
Aaron Taryle is currently a Vice President at Sound Point Capital in New York City where he is focused on the origination, structuring and underwriting of commercial real estate debt investments. Mr. Taryle holds a BA from Vanderbilt University.

Mr. Taryle, originally from Greenwood Village, CO, is a devoted outdoorsman, hiker, runner, skier and American History enthusiast. He appreciates American Prairie’s commitment to preserving pristine grasslands. He believes that undeveloped and uninhabited environments have profound effects on emotional and physical wellbeing, and the preservation and expansion of nature reserves is imperative in an increasingly chaotic world.

Scott Siemens*, Vice Chair 
Pittsburgh, PA
Scott Siemens is an Investment Analyst at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Previously, Mr. Siemens was an Equity Research Analyst at Marketfield Asset Management, a global macro fund in New York City. Originally from Louisville, Kentucky, Mr. Siemens graduated from Vanderbilt University with a B.A. in Economics, and is a CFA charterholder.

Mr. Siemens has a passion for conservation and is an avid wildlife photographer. He is thrilled to support the mission of American Prairie: to preserve a large-scale prairie landscape for generations to come.
 
Anna-Sophia Haub*, Member Engagement Chair
Greenwich, CT
Anna-Sophia Haub is currently a first-year master of environmental management candidate at the Yale School of Forestry and Environment Studies. Previously, Ms. Haub worked at a leading think tank convening meetings with U.S. and foreign government officials, business executives, journalists, and civic leaders on topics ranging from environmental policy to national security. She holds a BA in government with a concentration in international affairs from Georgetown University.

Ms. Haub, calling many places home, is an avid champion of environmental sustainability and conservation, following in the footsteps of her great-grandmother, grandparents, and parents. She is captivated by American Prairie’s ability to honor and conserve the dynamism, history, and characters of a landscape vital to the United States.
